NFL ALL DAY: The Gift For Friends 🏈
A Special Edition for the biggest day of the NFL Season. Featuring Pack Gifting, Pack Marketplace, and a live session this morning.
It’s here folks. The biggest single day in sports.
With all due respect to the World Cup Finals, the Olympics, and the Tour De France, those events are not single-day extravaganzas. Highly televised, yes, but compacted into just one day every single, they are not.
And plus, none of those feature a half time performance from a top selling artist, nor a whole other narrative around TV ads.
So let’s just say it - there is nothing like the Super Bowl.
Heck, there’s nothing like the NFL either!
And over at The First Mint, one of our greatest joys this past season has been following and collecting NFL ALL DAY with our community.
Coming off its first full season, the platform did not hold back in pushing the envelope these last 6 months. This season, the team at AD released:
The “Playbook”, a quest-style reward game providing utility to the NFTs
Ultimate 1/1 Moments of literally the BEST players
“The Immaculate Reception” Moment
Dynamic Moments of all playoff teams
Heck, the marketplace even did over $30M in volume, showing off the ravenous appetite for NFL Moments in our sports community.
The team did a great job listening to the community, which resulted in big changes to the supply (reduction of Series 2 in October) and to the Playbook (split into tiers).
And now, we have the final game of the year, for which AD saved the biggest feature yet: Pack Gifting and Pack Marketplace.

📦 The Sealed Pack Marketplace
Man, have I been waiting for this one.
I started collecting sports NFTs way back in September 2020, and even did a few podcast episodes about holding sealed packs.
And finally, that day has come. ALL DAY now allows you to sell your un-opened packs!
Listen, I absolutely love this feature, and believe its vital to a healthy ecosystem on any sports collecting product.
After all, in the real world of sports cards, you CAN re-sell packs. In fact, some people base their entire business on buying up sealed supply and holding for decades.
Although I don’t recommend holding these for too long, I do recommend taking a look at the Marketplace, wether you still hold packs or want to peruse the past.
Other great benefits of a peer-to-peer pack Marketplace:
New collectors can get a look at past drops and their values
Collectors can have fun speculating on scarce Moments in old packs
Sold out packs can find their true value on secondary.
Naturally, the pack marketplace is already projecting relatively high prices for the packs - I guess people love the mystery of sealed digital packs!
🎁Gift Packs To Friends
Now this is a feature I did NOT see coming.
I think its going to help the product grow immensely over time, and also create an opportunity for collectors to reward each other in their community.
Pack Gifting was launched on Friday, where you can essentially bundle up Moments you own into a pack, and send that pack to a friend (or anyone really).
That’s pretty wild imo. Although its fun for newbies to come to the site and rip *new* packs, now they could actually do it for FREE via their friends and family. Onboarding made even easier!
I could see this feature being used in multiple ways:
Favourite team: Make a pack of your friend’s favourite team (and get those out of collection if its not your team).
Reward your community: Make a pack with some fun stuff inside, and give it away to your community, discord, or on Twitter.
Get Creative: It’s a feature we’ve never had, so the possibilities are pretty broad. What if someone made 10x packs each with one Moment, and dropped them during an online even or Twitter Spaces?
I especially like this for the first ideas; of bundling up Moments from someone’s fave team and sending the pack their way.
Nothing is more painful then when you rip a pack and all the Moments are from a rival team (especially if you paid for that pack). So now your buddy’s first pack could be loaded with a team (or player) they love.
Even better: right now, NFL ALL DAY is running a promo where you gift a pack to a friend, they grab something on the MP, and YOU get a pack too.
