Yes, we are still talking about Top Shot drama. And it’s not just because it’s a slow day in web3 sports; far from it.
We’re actually talking about it because after more than 2 year, 200 episodes, and millions of other NFTs projects, we still care deeply about the project.
That’s why we have done TWO different emergency pods in the last two weeks about Dapper’s flagship platform.
That’s why we continue to spend time and money buying packs, despite spending equal time complaining.
That’s why we asked YOU the community about the BIGGEST changed needed at Top Shot (more on that below).
And that’s why we literally spend almost an hour of today’s pod revisiting Roham’s text-only AMA from last Friday (lol) and shouting to the heavens about what TS needs to do to “turn things around”.
That’s right.

This week, we also debuted our first ever hot take of the week, where we ask YOU the community for your spicy take on a topic, and pick our favourite.
Tons of fantastic answers here, and the one Phil D loved the most was from Geoff Homer with his recommendation that Top Shot should be included into apps like NBA All World.

At the end of every calendar month, we publish the Total Unique Buyers across all sports x web3 collections.
To me this is an incredibly valuable metric, as it shows how many people are participating with their wallets, despite what the total volume indicates.
We don’t yet have split Sorare collections for this data, but we will soon!
Turning to the weekly charts, it was a positive stretch for Dapper products as they all saw huge bumps in volume. Caveat though: they all had drops last week, which often result in higher volume than usual.
TFM Twitter has been HOT lately, as you guys have been giving us some sweet ideas and answers to the burning questions of the day.
As you may have heard, the Dookey Dash key sold for $1.6M, with the winnings going to 18-year-old pro gamer Mongraal. But the question is, dear community, would you rather buy that key or rent a yacht for a week?
And of course, with the baseball season fast approaching, we had to throw it back to everyone’s bedroom in the 1990s.
