Spring is a wonderful time in sports. March Madness. Formula 1. Golf. NBA/NHL Playoffs. NFL Draft. And of course, Opening Day of MLB. Plus this year we’ve got the World Baseball Classic to kick of baseball season. What a treat! My MLB fandom has wavered over the years, generally aligning with the Blue Jays success. But I’ve been brought back it, like I have other sports, through web3.
Really hoping we see an evolution here with potentially utilizing NFT tech for digital tradable baseball cards. The fact there isn't a killer web3 NFT baseball card game that is noteworthy and a household name just blows my mind.
As far as Candy Digital goes, having packs go for that much money really pushes a ton of people out that could potentially enjoy and evangelize it. We need a wider distribution with cards that cost less, and the primary audience cannot be art collectors. What blockchain makes the most sense for this? WAX? Flow? Polygon?
