Honestly, none of us really do it. We might take a peak in the Discord, look at a few tweets, and check Icy tools - but that hardly qualifies as âresearchâ. Our college professors would be ashamed of us.
But thatâs just how it goes in NFTs. Sometimes, its not that we donât want to do the research, itâs that sometimes every second matters. In the bull market, we often had just a mere 30 seconds to go to a site, smash the mint button, or even worse; use Etherscan and mint from contract.
The bullâs done though. And now we are in consolidation mode. We have to pick our winners, and look for new big bets that are nothing more than sleeping giants.
The next apes. The next Uniswap. The next Top Shot.
It might be right there. It might be a membership pass. But we wonât know unless we do that research, or at the very least, approach with patience and intrigue.

Jack ainât your average degen.
He does his own research. In fact, he does that shit all day long.
Heâs one of the few who actually reads the litepaper, reads old interviews with the founders, and seriously considers the tech and proposition on every platform.
He predicted the LUNA collapse weeks ahead of it happening.
He predicts a ETH Merge civil war as the OGs for the chain.
He can teach you how to 100x on an altcoin, but only if youâre patient about it.
He shares his research for free on Twitter, and has earned 100k+ followers for it.
Heâs a great example of someone who just recently (like literally last August) quit his job to go full time in crypto, just on the promise that he could write/research his way through it.
And heâs someone who brought up one of my new favorite quotes, from the founder of Polychain (and Coinbaseâs first employee), Olaf Carlson-Wee, on the demographic of crypto traders.
â1% of people in the space are builders, 9% are users of the product, and that 9% relays the info to the other 90% of investors.â
Jack is that 9%.
